Roulette
Think of a casino and the chances are that the first thing that springs to mind is a rotating roulette wheel. Roulette is the oldest known casino game, and we all know that there's nothing like an old favourite to get the pulse racing!
The Wheel
- The wheel used for roulette has 37 equal sized compartments with one marked zero and the others marked 1 to 36, coloured alternately red and black.
- The ball is spun in the opposite direction to the wheel.
Wagers
- The odds paid are as follows:
Straight Up 35 - 1 Split 17 - 1 Street 11 - 1 Corner 8 - 1 First Four 8 - 1 Six Line 5 - 1 Column 2 - 1 Dozen 2 - 1 Red or Black 1 - 1 Odd or Even 1 - 1 Low or High 1 - 1
- Once the player requests the wheel to spin or in the case of multi-player games once the scheduled spin commences, no more bets may be placed.
- When the winning number is zero:
- wagers placed on zero or a combination of zero with 1, 2, and/or 3 shall win at odds in accordance with Rule 3;
- half of each wager on any even money chance (positions J, K and L, as described in rule 3) shall be lost and the remaining half shall be returned to the player; and
- the whole of all other wagers shall be lost.
- The maximum and minimum wagers permitted shall be shown on a notice prominently displayed.
- The winning number is randomly generated between 0 and 36.
